253 / 365 For the Birds

Today was one of my favorite events of the season – The Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary Tour.  This year’s tour, which was focused on West Cobb County, included five homes and a retirement village, all certified as wildlife-friendly habitats by the Atlanta Audubon Society.  The properties ran the gamut from small, manicured backyards to large, woodsy spaces with lots of native plants and flowers just beckoning to birds, butterflies, and other creatures.
