Camembert is one of the most aromatic (not necessarily in a good way) cheeses that I know of, and H just loves it. He is particularly fond of the Camembert au Calvados variety, which is not available around here. Last night, to H’s delight, D surprised his brother with a huge half-wheel of this delectable goodie, direct from Amsterdam . The owner of the kaaswinkel gave D strict instructions: After unwrapping, the cheese must sit at room temperature for twenty-four to thirty-six hours before eating. I can only imagine what the house is going to smell like.
