H and I began our Fourth of July celebrations a week early by attending a patriotic concert at a local church (see picture) with my ninety-year-old mother-in-law. The three of us will top off the holiday this evening by watching the annual Independence Day concert in Washington. We’ve been doing this since H’s mom moved in with us six years ago, and it’s become a tradition that I really look forward to.
