Unlike most visitors, we chose to walk from our hotel (the Inn on Biltmore Estate) to the Biltmore House. There was some discussion within the group as to how far it actually was to the mansion, but we learned that the distance is four miles. It was well worth the walk there, as the house was gorgeous, opulent, and downright huge (I couldn’t really grasp what it must have been like to live there.) However, the walk back seemed a bit tougher. H and I had to take a nap when we returned.
