H and I were shopping today when a huge container of soon-to-be-frozen freezer pops caught my eye.. The next thing I knew, I was drawn to the colorful display (tugging H with me) as it triggered daydreams of the past.
Mom kept these treats in the freezer for us as kids. I remember the joy of choosing the perfect flavor, clipping off the top edge of the plastic wrap, and squeezing the frozen ice out of its wrapper… so cool, refreshing, and sticky. By the time you finished, there was always a little melted ice at the bottom of the package to be slurped down. I loved those things.
